Scar Tissue Remediation

Scars are a fact of life lived in a body. And yet - they are so rarely tended to.

Initial session is 3 hours and session packages are required. Initial appointment is an investment, please inquire if interested.

Before we touch a scar, we need to understand the whole person it lives in.

The Foundation Session is where all scar tissue remediation work begins. It is not a treatment - it is a comprehensive intake and assessment experience designed to give us both a complete picture of your health, your history, and your body before we ever begin hands-on work. This session is required for all new scar tissue clients, and it is arguably the most important session we will have together.

Three hours sounds like a long time. It isn't. By the time we're done, we will have covered more ground than most people have covered with any practitioner in years.

Here is what we do:

Food & Nutrition Schema
We look at how you interact with food - not to judge or prescribe, but to understand. What you eat, when you eat, how you feel before and after, your relationship with nourishment, any patterns that might be affecting your tissue health, inflammation, or healing capacity. Food is biochemistry, and biochemistry shapes everything.

Posture & Physical Body
We assess how your body organizes itself in space - your posture, your movement patterns, where you hold tension, how your pelvis sits, how your breath moves through your body, and where there are compensations or restrictions that may be connected to or contributing to your scar. We look at the whole structural picture, not just the scar site.

Stress Patterns & Nervous System
We talk about your stress - chronic, acute, historical. How your nervous system tends to respond. Whether you tend toward tension and hypervigilance or shutdown and disconnection. This matters enormously for scar work, because a nervous system that doesn't feel safe will not allow tissue to release, no matter how good the technique.

Emotional Landscape
We talk about the story behind the scar. The surgery, the birth, the injury - what happened, how it felt, what was resolved and what wasn't. We look at what emotions are present when you think about or touch the scar. We explore whether there is grief, fear, anger, relief, or numbness living in that tissue alongside the physical adhesion.

The Four Domains Together
By the end of this session, we will have a clear picture across all four domains of health - your biochemistry, your biomechanics, your scars, and your emotional body. From there, we build your plan together.

Formulating Your Plan
We don't guess. We don't use a standard protocol. Based on everything we've gathered, we identify which domain needs the most support first, what the sequence of our work together should look like, what you can do between sessions to prepare your tissue and your nervous system, and what realistic outcomes look like for your specific situation.

We may do some gentle belly work
Depending on how the session unfolds and how your body is responding, we may move into some light abdominal or preparatory bodywork in the final portion of our time together. This is never guaranteed - sometimes the most valuable thing we can do is simply complete the picture and let your body begin integrating before hands-on work begins.

This is the foundation. Everything that comes after is built on what we establish here. The time we spend in this session is what makes all subsequent work genuinely impactful rather than simply symptomatic.
